Remedy for crankiness = cutting ornament tags. Cut paper, move paper, cut paper, move paper. Get paid 15 dollars an hour to cut paper. Realize life isn't so bad. Think happy thoughts. OR, imagine paper is stupid and/or mean person. Smile.
The end.

cranky
I am trying this meme where you just post whatever thoughts come into your head. I am going to post my thoughts in fragments.
Starting now.
I am cranky. (dammit, that was a full sentence. Let's try again)
Ate too fast.
Job makes me want to scream today.
Cold sore. Taking Christmas pictures in 2 days.
Hate mean people.
Hate stupid people.
Hate mean, stupid people who have no clue they are mean and stupid.
A little weirded out that I did not get invited to the work party on Sat which apparently everyone else was.
On the other hand, who gives a flying crap.
Trying to shake a foul mood.
Said mean, stupid people not helping with foul mood.
Need a stiff drink.
Or lots of chocolate.
Or a jazzy dog.
Wondering if I can bring a jazzy dog to work, and tell her to bite mean, stupid people.
Then again, she would just lick them.
Wondering what Tony is doing.
Thinking he is working from home today, so he gets to play with jazzy dog and sarge boy, and does not have to see mean, stupid people.
Jealous.
End.

I am feeling contemplative today.
Heard a rendition of this song this morning on Sirius Coffeehouse this morning (satellite radio).... Each time I hear it I think of different things. Whatever it brings to mind, it always makes me think.....
Oh, mercy mercy me
Oh, things ain't what they used to be
No, no
Where did all the blue sky go?
Poison is the wind that blows
From the north, east, south, and sea
Oh, mercy mercy me
Oh, things ain't what they used to be
No, no
Oil wasted on the oceans and upon our seas
Fish full of mercury
Oh, mercy mercy me
Oh, things ain't what they used to be
No, no
Radiation in the ground and in the sky
Animals and birds who live nearby are dying
...The whole damn world is dying
Oh, mercy mercy me
Oh, things ain't what they used to be
What about this overcrowded land?
How much more abuse from man can you stand?
My sweet Lord
My sweet Lord
My sweet Lord
Originally by Marvin Gaye of course, but these are the lyrics from the version I heard this morning... and now I can't remember her name. oops!

Volunteering..
..with the women's center went very well. I am super excited to go back! One of the ladies in my group is from Kenya and she and her husband just moved to the states a year ago, and they are both college educated but cannot get jobs above minimum wage because of their limited English. Such a cool couple... and their daughters are SO smart; they are teaching their parents English and all about America, because they are growing up in it ya know? Anyway, it really made me realize how much I miss LCOT. Not all the drama or madness of it, but the PEOPLE. People like that couple. I am so glad that I had the experience of working there...
Anyway I won't be tutoring this week, because it is Turkey Day week, and we are busy busy! I think I am going to eat turkey... ohhh... 4 times? Thats ok with me though! Mom and Dad came in this past weekend to see our house and hang out, and I am glad they did, we had a good time. We went to eat at Reata's, which is in downtown Fort Worth. Oh and then Sunday we went to dinner with new friends which was so nice... it was us and 2 other married couples. They are really cool and I hope we can hang out with them more. woo hoo for new friends (and boo for living far away from old ones) Ok, thats all I got. I'm gonna post some pics of the office, which I painted this weekend, and the dining room....soon. So be ready for that fools.

Thursday... is only a day away from Friday!
Well hallo internets, how are you today! Me? Oh, I am good, save for the million mile an hour wind that blew my hair into a rat's nest the size of China!! But, its whatever. Tonight I get to go volunteer at the Fort Worth Women's Center with their adult literacy program. I will be tutoring a small group of adults who are working on getting their GEDs. I am super excited about this because I really really miss working with GED and ESL students.... in case you don't know, I worked for the Literacy Council of Tyler, which had GED Prep and ESL. I miss it, and I am glad that I found the Women's Center ~I am excited~ Plus the coordinator is super cool. So anyway this will be my first night to go and not be in training, so I will let you know how it goes! OH CRAP I just remembered that I forgot to tivo The Office tonight.... ok, definitely swinging by the house for that. I looooove the office. Love it.

Hump Day is overrated.
I am…. Groggy. Ok ok, so I am groggy every morning. The truth is, until about… 10:00? Maybe 10:30 everyday? I. am. pissy. Just ask Ruby at LCOT, (where I worked in Tyler) and she will tell you “do not talk to Whitney until lunchtime”. Haha, I don’t know what it is about the morning hours that makes me this way…I just do not want to talk to anyone.
Anyway on to what I was going to write about which is the town that I work in. All I have to say is thank GOD we do not LIVE in this town because it would be a definite digression from Tyler and I think I might beat myself over the head. The population is ohh… 25,000? Just look at the city’s website: http://www.ci.cleburne.tx.us/ I am cracking up right now at the high tech graphics in the top right hand corner, and then the bulleted list of options, LOL. Ok, sorry, but I just do not get this town. People here are weird and they never leave the freaking town. They act like driving to Burleson is a trip to effing India. It is 15 minutes north. And when I say “oh I live in the Benbrook area” their reactions are priceless. I get the question “how long does it take you to get here everyday!?” or “why don’t you live here?” HAHhahahaha. It only takes me 30 minutes to get here, people. That is it. I do not get these people…. We are 30 minutes south of DFW and I swear you would never know it. Good lord it cracks me up every freaking day…..ok, rant over.
In other news, Tony seems really happy with his job these days. He is officially the “field supervisor” up here now, and until the company office is completed in Aledo (about 10 minutes from our house) he is working at home. Which is hilarious. And a little annoying, but mostly hilarious, because I swear on days when he is mostly working at home he lays back in the chair in the office, usually on the phone, with Jasmine in his lap trying to lick him in the face, and with Sarge at his feet. HAHAHAhhaha I should put up a camera. With that said though, he is working hard and he is probably hom half the day and out in the field half the day. Pretty cool and it kinda fits him, I think. Anyway I am really proud of him.
Well that is about al for today.... I know, I know, I am SO EXCITING!!! OMG!!! You are just dying for me to post again!! tee hee

I have a shiny new blog!
Well Hello and welcome to... my blog! I can't promise anything except that I have always liked journaling (although I haven't done so in WAY too long) and that I will just say whatever is on my mind. So yeah, there you have it! Enjoy.
